Queens Unlimited is the mode with no daily cap. One puzzle a day is a warm-up, not a workout, so here a fresh board appears every time you press New puzzle — each one built on the spot and verified by a solver to have exactly one solution, so the quality never dips no matter how many you play. There is no login, no lives system and no waiting for midnight.
Four sizes, four difficulty levels
- Easy 6×6. The place to learn. Most boards hand you a tiny region straight away, and a full solve takes about a minute.
- Medium 8×8. The coffee-break size, and the default. Expect one or two moments where you have to stop placing and start eliminating.
- Hard 9×9. Built for practicing pair exclusion and counting arguments — the board often goes quiet until you compare two regions at once.
- Expert 10×10. Asks for everything in the strategy guide. Five to ten minutes is a good time.
Change size with the menu under the board. Your best hint-free time is tracked separately for each size, so you always have a number to beat.
How an unlimited supply stays good
The boards are not pulled from a fixed list that could run out or start repeating. Each one is generated on your own device the moment you ask: the generator lays down a legal set of crowns, grows colored regions around them, and hands the result to a solver. If the solver finds more than one valid arrangement, the region borders are adjusted and the board is tested again. Only a board with a single solution reaches the screen. In practice this takes a fraction of a second, which is why a new game starts the instant you press the button.
Ways to use Queens Unlimited
- Warm up before the daily. One quick 6×6 gets your eye in before today's board, where a slow time goes on your record.
- Drill one technique. Read a single section of the strategy guide, then play 9×9 boards until you have spotted that pattern three times without help.
- Chase a best time. Stay on one size and replay until your record falls. Because every board is new, you improve at the puzzle rather than memorizing a layout.
- Fill five minutes. No streak is at stake here, so you can abandon a board halfway without losing anything.
